- "Disconnecting" the tobacco use behavior from your environment. Zyban will help with the nicotine addiction, but you need to work on learning to live as a non-smoker. Disconnecting the behavior removes environmental cues to smoke. In other words, when you smoke, just smoke. Declare the house and car to be smoke free. Step outside to smoke. Then when you reach quit date, quitting will be less behaviorally cued.
- Become more relaxed and energetic by exercising 30 minutes 3 or more days a week.
- Tell people who care about you to support you and to help you celebrate your non-smoking.
